It all began with an idea. As a devoted wife, mother, and former educator, adding a family-run business to our lives would finally allow us to spend more time together. Like most entrepreneurs, we went through many ideas for a business that would suit our already busy lifestyle while allowing us to stay connected and present in each other’s lives.

After attending a close friend’s wedding, we had our “Ah-Ha!” moment. Walking into the foyer of the reception hall, we were met with the oh so lovely guest book. A beautifully decorated table, sparkly pens, and an enthusiastic member of the wedding party greeted us and handed me a pen. The writer’s block immediately set in! I’m the type that never knows what to even write in a birthday card. I wrote some generic words and we moved into the reception hall. The wedding, the reception, the food, and dancing were all exceptional! But the one detail with the guest book left me with so many questions of how it could be better.
